Per Tornvall is a Professor at the Department of Clinical Science and Education, Södersjukhuset, Karolinska Institutet. With 25+ years in coronary care and interventional cardiology, his research focuses on Myocardial Infarction with Non-Obstructive Coronary Arteries (MINOCA), Takotsubo syndrome, and advanced cardiac imaging techniques (e.g., CMR). He leads the SMINC studies (1-4) investigating MINOCA diagnostics and outcomes, and co-developed the eSMINC trial evaluating internet-based CBT for MINOCA/Takotsubo patients.
