Dr. Pepetual Mforbe Chiangong is a postdoctoral researcher at the Chair of African Literatures, Institute of Asian and African Studies, Humboldt University Berlin. Her work spans African theatre, performance studies, and critical engagements with gender, aging, disability, and migrancy. She has organized major international conferences, including the 2021 African Theatre Association Conference on aging and disability in African and diaspora performance, and led workshops on intervention theatre, community theatre, and gender awareness in collaboration with institutions across Germany, Cameroon, Ghana, Nigeria, and Jordan.
Research Interests:
- Critical analysis of aging, old age, and disability in African performance and film.
- Intersection of gender, sexuality, and identity in theatre practices.
- Applied theatre for social empowerment, focusing on elderly communities and migrancy.
