Dr. Penny Chaidali is a Lecturer in Accounting at the Cardiff Business School, Cardiff University, since January 2019. She holds a PhD in Accounting from the University of Bristol and is an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

Her research focuses on corporate reporting, integrated reporting, accountability, and impression management in annual reports. Her work explores how annual reports are designed, produced, and evolved, with a notable publication in Critical Perspectives on Accounting (2017) examining UK preparers' perspectives on integrated reporting.
The articles she has contributed to since 2017 reflect a trajectory in financial reporting and sustainability standards, addressing topics like intangible assets, BREXIT's impact, and charity sector reporting. Since 2019, she has been involved in organizing symposia like the Future of Financial Reporting series.
