Dr. Ekramy Sherif is a Lecturer in Accountancy at Brunel University London, affiliated with the Department of Economics and Finance within the College of Business, Arts and Social Sciences. He joined the university in September 2021 and contributes to teaching, academic leadership, and student mentorship.

His research centers on key areas in accounting and financial reporting, including risk reporting determinants, earnings management, IFRS compliance and its consequences, internet financial reporting, corporate governance, firm performance, and corporate social responsibility disclosure. His work addresses both theoretical and practical aspects of financial transparency and regulatory adherence.
Dr. Sherif holds professional recognition as a Fellow of AdvanceHE and is a member of the European Risk Research Network, reflecting his engagement with broader academic and professional communities in education and risk research.
He plays an active role in teaching and academic administration, serving as Module Leader for several undergraduate courses such as Introduction to Accounting and Finance for Business, Accountancy for Business, Advanced Financial Reporting, and the Accountancy Project. He also contributes to postgraduate dissertation supervision and banking and finance workshops. Additionally, he mentors master's and undergraduate students in their research projects and acts as a personal tutor and coordinator for the Economics and Mathematics Foundation Program.
