Dr. Pedro G. Koo is an Associate Professor in the Languages, Cultures and Religions Department at Missouri State University (Springfield campus). He holds a PhD, MA in Spanish, and an MBA in Finance from the University of Oklahoma. His teaching spans multiple Spanish language courses (e.g., Spanish American Literature, Business Spanish) and film-literature intersections.
Research focuses on Cultural Studies of Spanish American literature, post-Boom era novels, modern Peruvian literature (1970s–present), literary criticism applications, and film-gender studies intersections. His work bridges textual analysis with cinematic adaptations and sociocultural contexts.
