Pavel Tomancak

Pavel Tomancak serves as a research group leader at the Max Planck Institute of Molecular Cell Biology and Genetics (MPI-CBG) in Dresden, Germany. His laboratory is part of the International Max Planck Research School for Cell, Developmental and Systems Biology, where he was actively recruiting PhD students as of 2017.

Dr. Tomancak's primary research focus centers on Patterns of gene expression in animal development, investigating how genetic information is regulated and expressed during the formation of animal organisms. His work contributes to fundamental understanding of developmental processes at the molecular level.

As a research group leader at one of Europe's premier basic research institutions, Tomancak oversees a laboratory that participates in the international scientific community through the Max Planck Society's extensive network. His research group represents one of 20 participating laboratories within the International Max Planck Research School framework dedicated to training the next generation of scientists in cell, developmental, and systems biology.
