Pavel Blažek is a medievalist and historian of medieval thought affiliated with the Institute of Philosophy at the Czech Academy of Sciences. He serves as deputy head of the Department for the Study of Ancient and Medieval Thought and coordinates the TRANSED research group for medieval philosophical and theological text editions. He collaborates on the critical edition of Durand of Saint-Pourçain's Sentences commentary at the University of Cologne's Thomas-Institut since 2015.
