Marcin W. Bukała, PhD, habilitacja (2015), is a Professor at the Department of the History of Ancient and Medieval Philosophy within the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology of the Polish Academy of Sciences (IFiS PAN) in Warsaw. He is also the Editor-in-Chief of Prakseologia (since 2019), a member of the Permanent Committee of Polish Medievalists, and affiliated with international societies like the Société Internationale pour l'Étude de la Philosophie Médiévale and International Society for Praxiology.

His research focuses on the history of economic ethics before the emergence of economics as a discipline, medieval practical philosophy, and the reception of Aristotelian ethics in scholastic texts. He has contributed to critical editions of medieval works, including the Summa Theologiae of Thomas Aquinas (II-II, qq. 57-80, 101-122) and texts by Polish thinkers like Matthew of Krakow and Stanisław Zaborowski.

His editorial work includes co-editing the Summa Theologiae translation and organizing the 2019-2022 seminar on Thomas Aquinas' Economic Ethics at Warsaw University's Faculty of Liberal Arts.
