Pauline Clague is an Industry Associate Professor and Manager of the Cultural Resilience Hub at the Jumbunna Institute for Indigenous Education and Research, University of Technology Sydney (UTS). She is a Yaegl woman with over 25 years in film and television, focusing on Indigenous storytelling and media advocacy. Her roles include Artistic Director of the Winda Film Festival and programmer for imagineNATIVE, fostering Indigenous voices globally.
Clague holds a Diploma in Television from the Australian Film, Television and Radio School (AFTRS). Her research emphasizes cultural resilience through media, sovereignty, and self-determination. Notable contributions include the Our Stories, Our Way documentary series and the Aboriginal History Archive project.
Her awards include the Stanley Hawes Award (2015) for Australian documentaries and the Natalie Miller Fellowship (2020). She leads funded initiatives like the Coota Girls Survivor Stories Project and Wonnarua Language Archive. Teaching focuses on Indigenous narratives, film curation, and cultural protocols in media.
