Paulina Karniej-Kmita

Paulina Karniej-Kmita is an Assistant in a research and teaching position at the Warsaw School of Economics (SGH), specifically within the Collegium of Socio-Economics and the Department of Philosophy. She is currently pursuing her doctoral studies at the SGH Doctoral School in the discipline of Political Science and Administration.

Her educational background includes a graduate degree in Finance and Accounting from the Warsaw School of Economics. She has substantial professional experience in tax advisory, with specialization in international taxation and transfer pricing.

Her research focuses on international tax law, particularly the avoidance and resolution of tax disputes related to transfer pricing. She conducts comparative analyses between Poland and Germany, leveraging her fluency in both English and German languages. Her academic work is informed by her practical experience in public institutions including the Ministry of Finance and the Financial Supervisory Commission, as well as international tax advisory firms from the Big Four.

She completed the Polish-German Academic Forum at SGH and undertook an academic internship at Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz, which has shaped her comparative research approach between the Polish and German tax systems.
