Paula Memenga

Paula Memenga is a Research Assistant at the University of Erfurt, specifically within the Department of Journalism and Communication Research. She holds a Master’s degree in Health Communication and a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Science from the same university. Her work focuses on health communication, with particular emphasis on digital health information services, online information behavior, and media use in health contexts.

Her recent publications and conference presentations explore topics such as telemedicine, genetic counseling, and physician-patient digital interaction. She is actively involved in third-party projects like DigiCare, Krebsprävention im Dialog, and OnkoRiskNET (Medical University of Hanover), focusing on improving health communication through digital tools and interdisciplinary collaboration. Memenga is a member of the International Communication Association (ICA), European Communication Research and Education Association (ECREA), and German Society of Mass Communication (DGPuK).
