Paula CRISTOFALO

Paula CRISTOFALO is a Senior Lecturer at EHESP (École des Hautes Études en Santé Publique), affiliated with the Institute of Management (IdM) and the UMR 6051 ARENES research unit. She holds a Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of Paris Ouest Nanterre La Défense. Her current roles include Head of the Master 2 program in Analysis and Management of Health Organizations (AMOS-Paris, 2021–2024) and co-director of the AMES Master's program (2019–2021). She has been a visiting fellow at Cornell University’s Industrial and Labor Relations School and conducted postdoctoral research at the University of Paris-Est Créteil.

Research Focus: Her work centers on healthcare systems, occupational health, and workplace dynamics. Key themes include interprofessional collaboration, quality of life at work, health inequalities, and perinatal care practices. Active projects include studies on doulas in France (TRASOPER), team organization in healthcare (ColIPeOT), and collaborative care investigations (EnCollineS).

Expertise & Leadership: Member of the National Observatory for Quality of Life at Work (2018–2021), evaluator for the Institute for Public Health Research (IRESP since 2019), and contributor to EU-funded initiatives like the Erasmus+ Professionalization Program. She teaches courses on public health, human resources, and sociological research methods across multiple institutions.

Labs/Teams: Collaborates with ARENES (CNRS-Inserm), leading qualitative components in projects like ABALONE (healthcare management) and TRASOPER (perinatal trajectories).
