Paul Yowell is a Visiting Associate Professor and Fellow at the University of Oxford’s Faculty of Law, affiliated with Oriel College. He holds an adjunct role at the University of Notre Dame. His research focuses on public law, legal theory, constitutional theory, separation of powers, comparative constitutional law, and human rights.

Publications: Author of Constitutional Rights and Constitutional Design (2018) and co-author of Legislated Rights (2018). Key research areas include judicial review, legislative human rights frameworks, and the intersection of law and political theory.
Research Projects: Involved in the Human Rights Law Research Group, OxonCourts, and Brexit-related legal studies. Led studies on parliamentary engagement with human rights (e.g., Parliaments and Human Rights: Redressing the Democratic Deficit).
