معرفی
Dr Paul Yeh is a Senior Research Fellow and clinician-scientist at Monash Health and Monash University, with dual appointments in haematology and clinical sciences. He leads the Blood Cancer Biomarkers Laboratory, focusing on molecular biomarkers to improve outcomes for patients with haematological malignancies. Yeh holds a PhD from the University of Melbourne and has received prestigious awards including the EHA/ASH TRTH scholar award and NHMRC/MRFF Emerging Leadership Fellowship. His clinical expertise spans molecular haematology and myeloid neoplasms, complementing his research in genomics, clonal haematopoiesis, and biomarker development.
Education:
- PhD: Molecular Monitoring in Haematological Malignancies (University of Melbourne, 2018)
- MBBS & BMedSci: University of Melbourne (2005)
Research Interests:
Yeh’s lab prioritizes translational research in blood-based molecular biomarkers, with a focus on:
- Next-generation sequencing for haematological malignancies
- Clonal haematopoiesis and its clinical implications
- Myeloid leukaemia and myeloproliferative disorders
- Multi-omics approaches in biomarker discovery
Recent work highlights include validation of saliva-derived DNA for clonal haematopoiesis detection and challenges in FLT3-mutated AML treatment response assessment. Active clinical trials focus on BET inhibitors (molibresib) and JAK inhibitors in myelofibrosis.
Awards:
- EHA/ASH TRTH Scholar Award (2018)
- NHMRC/MRFF Emerging Leadership Fellow (current)
- Gilead Fellowship Research Grant (2019)
Grants & Projects:
Yeh leads 14 active research projects, including Phase 3 trials evaluating Bomedemstat and Navtemadlin in myeloproliferative neoplasms. His work integrates clinical leadership in molecular pathology with translational research.
Labs & Teams:
Head of the Blood Cancer Biomarkers Laboratory, collaborating on multi-institutional studies to advance precision medicine in haematological cancers.
