Dr Paul Watts is an Associate Professor and Programme Lead for the MA Character Education at the University of Birmingham’s School of Education, based at the Jubilee Centre for Character and Virtues. He also serves as Head of Quality Assurance and Enhancement for the School of Education. His research focuses on character education’s practical application in primary schools, teacher education methodologies, and the role of storytelling in moral development. Watts holds a PhD from the University of Birmingham (2023), an MEd (with Distinction), and a Postgraduate Diploma in Primary Education. He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
