Dr Paul Stolk is a Senior Lecturer at the Newcastle Business School, University of Newcastle, specializing in Tourism. He holds a PhD from the University of Newcastle (2010) and has extensive experience in applied research and teaching. His research focuses on marine tourism, artificial reefs, and scuba diving, with notable projects including the Hunter Valley Wine and Tourism Association's 'Tourism Monitor' and The Big Lottery-funded 'Social and Community Benefits of Angling' project.

Grants & Projects: Over $347k in grants, including projects on AR technology in tourism, post-pandemic visitor recovery, and Indigenous representation in sports management. Key partners include Newcastle City Council and Hunter Valley Wine & Tourism Association.
Teaching Awards: 2020 Work Integrated Learning Staff Member of the Year, 2014 Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching.
Supervision: Currently supervising two PhD students on topics like destination image during the pandemic and rugby union performance. Past supervision includes studies on customer perceived value in events and angling-based interventions.
