Professor Paul Rouse is a historian at UCD specializing in Irish sport, popular culture, and agricultural history. He directs public history projects including the Century Ireland portal and GAA Oral History Project, the world's largest sports oral history initiative.
Research Focus: Rouse examines the intersection of sport with Irish identity formation, media representation, and historical propaganda. His work spans from 19th-century agriculture to modern sports media.
