معرفی
Paul Robinson is a Conjoint Professor in Respiratory and Sleep Medicine at the University of Queensland and Deputy Director of the Children's Health Environment Program within the Child Health Research Centre (CHRC). He also serves as a Senior Staff Specialist at the Queensland Children's Hospital. His research integrates clinical practice and scientific innovation to improve pediatric respiratory health outcomes.
His research focuses on:
- Translational approaches to detect and monitor early lung diseases using novel tools like multiple breath washout (MBW) and oscillometry.
- Clinical applications of lung function tests in asthma, cystic fibrosis, and post-transplant complications.
- Environmental impacts on respiratory health, including air pollution and bushfire smoke.
- Development of low-radiation imaging techniques to map lung structure-function relationships.
Analysis of his recent publications reveals a strong emphasis on refining diagnostic standards for pediatric lung diseases, optimizing CFTR modulator therapies in cystic fibrosis, and validating remote monitoring technologies for asthma. His work consistently addresses knowledge gaps in environmental health and perinatal outcomes.
Professor Robinson leads collaborative projects with industry partners and academic consortia, including longitudinal birth cohort studies. He holds advisory roles in national/international respiratory societies, driving clinical guideline development.
