Paul Quinlan

Dr Paul Quinlan is a Visiting Professor at Cranfield School of Management, Cranfield University. With 38 years of experience in innovation and business development across Food & Beverage, Agribusiness, and Life Sciences sectors, he has held leadership roles at Unilever, focusing on innovation strategy, new business development, and partnership ecosystems. He played a key role in transitioning Unilever's tea business into a standalone entity.

• Expertise includes health/nutrition-based innovations, functional foods, and intellectual property management.
• Developed technologies like biotechnology-derived infant nutrition ingredients and vitamin-fortified foods.
• Collaborated with Cranfield University to create the Innovation Accelerator program, where students tackle Unilever's real-world challenges.

Current activities include mentoring startups, consulting on innovation management, lecturing, and serving as Chair of a UK charity's Board of Trustees.

He has published over 30 scientific papers in health and nutrition innovation fields.
