Paul Nicholas Carding

Paul Nicholas Carding is an Adjunct Professor in the School of Allied Health, Faculty of Health Sciences. His research focuses on speech-language pathology, voice disorders, and dysphagia, with particular emphasis on clinical training, oncological outcomes, and neurological conditions such as Parkinson's disease. He has contributed significantly to the development of clinical assessment tools and interventions for patients with head and neck cancer, laryngectomy-related communication challenges, and pediatric neurodisabilities.

His work spans vocal fold paralysis management, swallowing studies, and the psychosocial aspects of voice disorders. Key areas include optimizing training methods for videofluoroscopic swallowing analysts, evaluating voice therapy efficacy, and studying drooling management in children with cerebral palsy.
