Kelly Salmon

Kelly Salmon, SLPD, CCC-SLP, is an Associate Professor in Speech-Language Pathology at Salus University's College of Health Sciences, Education and Rehabilitation. Her expertise focuses on adult dysphagia, head and neck cancer rehabilitation, laryngectomy care, and lymphedema management. She holds certifications in specialized therapies like NMES for dysphagia (NDC), Lymphedema Therapy (CLT-LANA), and LSVT LOUD.

• Education: SLPD from Nova Southeastern University, MA from New York University, BS from Stockton University
• Clinical Specialization: Manual Therapy Techniques (MFR), NMES, s-EMG/biofeedback, and lingual resistance exercise for dysphagia

Dr. Salmon actively contributes to professional committees including Chair of the American Board on Swallowing and Swallowing Disorders (AB-SSD) Corporate Partners Committee since 2014. Her research emphasizes multidisciplinary collaboration in videofluoroscopic studies, functional outcomes post-transoral robotic surgery, and efficacy of interventions for end-stage dysphagia.

She has received 13 ASHA ACE awards, Highest Honors in her doctoral degree (2018), and Alpha Eta Society recognition (2019).
