Brittany Janowski, M.Ed., CCC-SLP is a Clinical Assistant Professor and Medical Externship Coordinator in the Department of Counseling, Higher Education, and Speech-Language Pathology at the University of West Georgia (UWG). She has been employed at UWG since 2015, transitioning to a full-time role in 2016. Her primary roles include clinical supervision, teaching, and coordinating medical externships in speech-language pathology.

Research & Clinical Interests: Dr. Janowski focuses on cognitive disorders, dementia care, adult/geriatric dysphagia, and the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning in Communication Sciences and Disorders. She is skilled in Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES), Lee Silverman Voice Treatment (LSVT), and tracheostomy/ventilator patient care. She has contributed to establishing UWG's grant-funded Early Intervention Speech Clinic and the free Communication Disorders Lab targeting underserved populations.
Teaching & Clinical Leadership: She teaches courses such as Motor Speech Disorders, Anatomy & Physiology of Speech and Hearing, and clinical practicum modules. Her administrative experience includes leading an interdisciplinary rehabilitation team in a post-acute care setting.
