Paul Muller is an Associate Professor at the Department of Economics, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, and a research fellow at the Tinbergen Institute. He previously held an Assistant Professor position at the University of Gothenburg and earned his PhD from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam in 2016. His research focuses on empirical labor economics, particularly job seeker-employer matching, labor market policies (disability, childcare, migration), and the evaluation of job search assistance programs. He received an NWO-Vidi grant (2024) for studying labor market scarcity in the Netherlands.
Education: PhD in Economics, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (2016).
