Dr. Paul Mukundi is an Assistant Professor in the Department of English and Language Arts at Morgan State University’s College of Liberal Arts. His work bridges African literature, postcolonial studies, and gender discourse, with a focus on cultural identity preservation and diasporic hybridity.

His research spans African and diasporic literary traditions, addressing themes of cultural conflict, gender dynamics, and postcolonial technoscience. Recent publications analyze Okot p’Bitek’s Song of Lawino in technoscientific contexts and cultural hybridity in Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie’s Purple Hibiscus.
Dr. Mukundi collaborates on interdisciplinary projects, including studies of East African oral literature and Kenyan theater. He also explores intersections of African women’s narratives across Hurston, Ba, and Ogola’s works.
