His work interrogates the ethical limits of memory as a remedy in post-genocide contexts and explores the intersections of violence, colonialism, and cultural identity.
Recent publications include studies on Darfurian humanitarian arts, Biafra war photography, and decolonial futures. He also examines the role of childhood narratives in diasporic African literature and critiques hubristic masculinity in Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie’s works.
Teaching Areas include African literature, genocide and literature, critical race studies, and cultural theory. His course GENG-7104: Concepts in Cultural Theory explores foundational and contemporary debates in cultural studies.
