Paul McCawley serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Health, Human Performance, and Sport at Wayne State College, where he teaches courses in strength and conditioning and health and wellness. He holds a Master of Science in Exercise Science (2014) and Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science (2012), both from Wayne State College, and maintains Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification through the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
His research program centers on optimizing athletic performance through evidence-based methodologies, with specific focus on post-activation potentiation phenomena and resistance training prescription protocols. This work bridges laboratory findings with practical applications in sports settings, contributing to the advancement of exercise physiology and strength development practices.
Within the university community, Dr. McCawley serves on the Institutional Review Board (IRB) Committee ensuring ethical research standards, and provides mentorship as faculty advisor for the Club Baseball team. His professional activities integrate academic expertise with practical athletic development through NSCA membership and CSCS credentialing.
