معرفی
Dr. Paul Markus Müller is a Biochemistry Researcher at the Department of Biochemistry, part of the Freie Universität Berlin. His research focuses on membrane biochemistry, particularly the study of cellular membrane dynamics, Rho GTPase signaling, and advanced microscopy techniques. He is affiliated with the Ewers Group - Membrane Biochemistry, where his work explores mechanisms of endocytosis, protein-lipid interactions, and nanoscopic structures using cutting-edge methods like superresolution microscopy and correlative imaging.
His research interests include understanding how adhesion energy influences lipid binding during endocytosis, developing screening-compatible assays for Rho GTPase activity, and analyzing spatial organization of signaling pathways. Müller has contributed to studies on the anticancer effects of phytochemicals and the role of oxidative stress in cellular processes.
Publications highlight trends in combining biochemistry with advanced imaging, particularly in resolving membrane structures and signaling events at the nanoscale. His work bridges molecular mechanisms with physiological outcomes, such as aquaporin translocation in renal cells and cancer cell migration inhibition.
Müller is based at Thielallee 63, Room 108b, Berlin, and can be reached via email at paulmarkus.mueller@fu-berlin.de.
