Professor Paul J. du Plessis holds the Chair of Roman Law at the University of Edinburgh, specializing in the intersection of law and society through a historical lens. He directs the Centre for Legal History and convenes the Europa Library Committee, while also serving as Head of Subject Area: Legal History.
