Paul J. LeBlanc serves as a Professor in the Department of Health Sciences within Brock University's Faculty of Applied Health Sciences. His research program centers on metabolic regulation in skeletal muscle and membrane biochemistry.
Dr. LeBlanc's research interests include mammalian skeletal muscle metabolism, pyruvate dehydrogenase regulation, and the relationship between membrane composition and protein function. He directs the LeBlanc Lipid Lab which investigates these interconnected areas with implications for understanding metabolic diseases and cellular function.
His scholarly recognition includes an NSERC postdoctoral fellowship. Dr. LeBlanc actively recruits graduate students for MSc and PhD programs to advance research in his laboratory.
- NSERC postdoctoral fellowship recipient
Dr. LeBlanc advises graduate students and maintains active research programs focused on lipid metabolism and skeletal muscle physiology. The LeBlanc Lipid Lab provides research opportunities for students interested in cellular metabolism and membrane biochemistry.
His laboratory environment fosters interdisciplinary research connecting basic biochemistry with physiological applications, particularly in skeletal muscle metabolism and membrane-associated protein function.
