Paul Glader is a Professor of Journalism, Media and Entrepreneurship at The King’s College in New York City. He serves as Chair of the Program in Journalism, Culture and Society and Director of the McCandlish Phillips Journalism Institute. Additionally, he founded and directs the NYC Semester in Journalism (NYCJ), advises The Empire State Tribune, and leads the Dow Jones News Fund’s business reporting program at NYU. As CEO of the startup VettNews, he participated in the NYC Media Lab’s Combine accelerator. Glader previously held the Laventhol/Newsday Visiting Professorship at Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism in 2018.

His research focuses on startup ecosystems, journalism ethics, urban planning, European studies (especially Germany/Scandinavia), and leadership creativity. He has secured over $3 million in grants for King’s programs and operates The Media Project’s ReligionUnplugged.com. Glader’s journalism career spans 10 years at The Wall Street Journal and contributions to outlets like The New York Times, Der Spiegel, and Forbes.com. He is an international media speaker and former Bosch Foundation Fellow in Berlin.
Labs/Initiatives: Directs the McCandlish Phillips Journalism Institute and NYC Semester in Journalism, co-founded VettNews (media startup), and oversees The Media Project’s training programs for journalists globally.
