Paul Ferguson

Paul Ferguson is a part-time Adjunct Professor in the Department of Information Technology and Operations Management (ITOM) at the Cox School of Business, Southern Methodist University (SMU). He is actively pursuing a PhD in Management Science at the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA) while maintaining his academic position.

His educational qualifications include:

Ferguson's research spans Ecotourism, Revenue Management, and Energy Management, informed by nearly 30 years of industry experience in program/project management, business strategy, systems engineering, and operations research at Lockheed Martin, MCI/WorldCom, Raytheon, Texas Instruments, and the US Army. This practical background directly informs his teaching of ITOM 3306 Operations Management at SMU, where he bridges theoretical concepts with real-world applications in business strategy and operational efficiency.

His professional expertise intersects with his research interests through applied analytical approaches to sustainable tourism economics, dynamic pricing models in service industries, and energy optimization systems within operational frameworks.
