Paul Febvre is the Royal Academy of Engineering (RAEng) Visiting Professor of Intelligent Signal Processing at the University of Bradford's Faculty of Engineering & Digital Technologies. He concurrently serves as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of the Satellite Applications Catapult, where he leads technology strategy and future satellite system development. Previously, he held roles at Inmarsat (19 years) and BT Research Labs (12 years). At the University of Bradford, he contributes to enhancing course content in Intelligent Signal Processing, student professional skills development (project management, leadership, entrepreneurship), and collaborates with faculty to design labs/projects for accelerated learning. He chairs the Innovation and Skills Advisory Board of the Bradford-Renduchintala Centre for Space AI, supporting initiatives like the student-led Very-small-satellite Innovation Project (VIP) club.
Paul's research and advisory work focuses on integrating AI with space and wireless communications, emphasizing ethical applications of distributed computing for sustainable economies. He bridges academia and industry through strategic guidance, fostering innovation and resource-sharing with the space industrial base and research community.
