Paul El-Fishawy is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the Yale Child Study Center, Yale School of Medicine. He holds dual degrees in Medicine (MD) and Law (J.D.) from Yale University. His clinical practice focuses on general child, adolescent, and adult psychiatry, emphasizing psychodynamic and cognitive behavioral therapies. He has been consistently recognized as a 'Best Doctor in America' since 2015 and is board-certified in both child/adolescent and adult psychiatry.
Dr. El-Fishawy’s research centers on autism genetics, utilizing homozygosity mapping and whole-exome sequencing to identify contributing genes. His work has been supported by prestigious awards such as the APA-Lilly Research Fellowship and the Beatrix Hamburg Award. He has co-authored influential studies in Nature and Science.
