Paul Dover is a Professor of History at Kennesaw State University, specializing in late medieval and early modern European history with a focus on political, diplomatic, and cultural developments. He joined KSU in 2005 after teaching at the University of the South and Georgian Court University.

His research spans three primary areas: Renaissance diplomacy, the history of information, and the reception of classical geography. He has published extensively on ambassadorial practices, information management, and the impact of paper abundance.

His 2014 textbook The Changing Face of the Past reflects his teaching on historiography.
