Paul Blodgett serves as Associate Director IV of the Hal Ross Flour Mill within Kansas State University's Department of Grain Science and Industry, overseeing all milling assets and operations at both the Hal Ross Flour Mill and Shellenberger Hall. He teaches the undergraduate Material Handling course each spring semester and supports departmental classes, short courses, and research projects.
His specialization spans critical grain processing domains including Materials Handling, Technical Milling, Mill Maintenance, Flour Milling, Durum Milling, and Plant and Mill Operations. This expertise, forged through 27+ years in milling industries, directly informs hands-on training at university facilities and bridges academic instruction with real-world operational demands.
Blodgett's career includes three years at Bay State Milling (Clifton, NJ), 20 years with American Italian Pasta Company (Missouri/South Carolina), and four years at ReConserve of Kansas before returning to KSU. He actively maintains the Hal Ross Flour Mill and Shellenberger Hall as functional educational and research environments, though no specific grants or student advising details are documented.
