Paul Bain is a Visiting Assistant Professor of Music and Interim Director of Bands at Western Washington University. He leads the Wind Symphony and Symphonic Band, and teaches conducting. Previously, he served as Associate Director of Bands and Assistant Professor of Music Education at Central Washington University, where he directed the instrumental program and CWU Symphonic Winds. With 18 years in public schools, he was band director at Graham Kapowsin High School, fostering collaborations with international ensembles like Tamana High School Band (Japan). He also directed the South Sound Symphonic Band and Washington Ambassadors of Music, and has conducted honor bands across the U.S. and internationally (Japan, Europe).
