Dr. Angela Schroeder is an Associate Professor and Director Undergraduate in the Music Department at the University of Alberta's Faculty of Arts. She serves as Director of Bands, Area Coordinator for Winds and Percussion, and conductor of the Symphonic Wind Ensemble and Summer Band. She teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in conducting and wind band education. Previously, she taught at the University of North Texas and leads the St. Albert Community Band, which recently toured Austria and Germany. Her roles include executive director of the Alberta Band Association and contributions to the Teaching Music through Performance in Band series.
Education: BMus (University of Calgary), MMus (Northwestern University), DMus (University of North Texas).
Research Interests: Focus on wind band conducting pedagogy, instrumental ensemble leadership, and community music programs.
