Paul Allen is a Lecturer in the Comparative Cultural Studies Department at the University of Houston, affiliated with the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences. He holds a Ph.D. in Old Testament/Hebrew Bible from Yale University (2018). His research focuses on religio-economic reforms of ancient Near Eastern rulers, particularly Nabonidus of Babylon and Josiah of Judah, with plans to extend analysis to Akhenaten of Egypt. He teaches courses such as 'Magic, Witchcraft, and the Occult' and 'Bible and Western Culture I.'
