Paul A. Locke is a Professor at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, specializing in environmental health science, law, and policy. He holds a DrPH from Johns Hopkins, an MPH from Yale, a JD from Vanderbilt, and has been licensed to practice law in multiple jurisdictions. His research focuses on the intersection of environmental health, policy, and law, particularly in radiation protection, toxicity testing alternatives, and radon risk management. Locke has received multiple teaching awards from Johns Hopkins and is affiliated with the Center for Alternatives to Animal Testing (CAAT) and the Risk Sciences and Public Policy Institute. His recent work emphasizes advancing alternative methods to animal testing and addressing space radiation risks for astronauts.
