Patsy Y. Iwasaki is an Assistant Professor in the English Department at the University of Hawaii at Hilo, affiliated with the Humanities Division. She holds a Ph.D. in Learning Design and Technology from UH Mānoa, an M.Ed. from UH Hilo, and a B.A. in Journalism with a minor in Asian Studies from UH Mānoa.
Her research focuses on instructional design, media writing, graphic novels, and migration narratives. She integrates documentary film and multicultural perspectives into her teaching, emphasizing culturally relevant education and community-based learning.
