Dr. Patrizia Albanese is a Professor & Vice-Provost of Faculty Affairs at Toronto Metropolitan University, holding a PhD in Sociology from the University of Toronto. Her research focuses on children, youth, families, and social policies, with notable work on Canadian military families and childcare discourse. She chairs the Board of the Federation for the Humanities and Social Sciences and previously led the Canadian Sociological Association. Dr. Albanese has authored/co-authored over a dozen books and articles, including textbooks on sociology and policy studies. She teaches courses on research methods and children's societal roles.
