As director of Aesthete Ghana and curator of TTU's PaintSculp Art Jury, he bridges academia and community through nature-based art initiatives.
Education:
- Master of Fine Arts, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi, Ghana
Tagoe-Turkson's practice transforms Atlantic coast flip-flop debris into vibrant artworks that confront plastic pollution while exploring migration, memory, and cultural adaptation. His rhythmic, poetic style—rooted in Ghanaian traditions—exemplifies art as environmental activism, earning inclusion in collections like Canada's Royal Ontario Museum and Italy's Casoria Contemporary Art Museum. This fusion of sustainability and storytelling positions him as a pivotal voice in contemporary African art.
Through Aesthete Ghana, he organizes nature art workshops and international collaborations within global land art networks. His curation of TTU's annual PaintSculp exhibition further demonstrates commitment to nurturing artistic ecosystems that connect academic practice with ecological stewardship.
