Education: PhD (Musicology, University of Toronto, 2017), MA and BA (Music, unspecified institutions). Research interests span musical minimalism, critical historiography, and Indigenous-settler collaborations in music. He has collaborated with Indigenous artists on projects reconnecting kinship with cultural heritage through music and archives.
Recent publications explore intersections of music and colonialism, minimalism’s historiography, and Rancière’s philosophy. His SSHRC projects emphasize decolonizing music studies through interdisciplinary collaboration. Teaching philosophy prioritizes non-majors and anti-colonial pedagogy, with mentorship in experimental music, critical theory, and Indigenous thought.
