Patrick Martin-Mattera is a Professor of Clinical Psychology and Psychopathology at the University of the West (UCO Angers), specializing in psychoanalysis and ethics. He has held leadership roles including Dean of the Faculty of Human and Social Sciences (2014–2019), Director of the RPPSy research laboratory (2012–2022), and Head of the Doctorate in Psychoanalysis. He is a founding member of multiple interdisciplinary associations, including the International Sectoral Group of Catholic Psychology Institutions. His research focuses on psychopathology, art, creation, and clinical ethics, with over 100 publications. Awards include the Knight of the Order of Academic Palms (2017). He has supervised numerous doctoral theses and contributed to international conferences on topics like creation processes, pain, and contemporary psychopathology.
