Patrick Honnebier is an Adjunct Professor in the LL.M. Program in Air and Space Law at the University of Mississippi School of Law. As a founding member of Rep Law Aviation based in Amsterdam, he combines academic work with practical expertise in international aviation finance transactions. His professional practice focuses on advising manufacturers, banks, lessors, and airlines regarding aircraft, helicopter, and engine financing and leasing.
Professor Honnebier attended the Diplomatic Conference for the Cape Town Convention (2001) and provided legal counsel to the Governments of Aruba, the former Netherlands Antilles, and the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs during the Kingdom of the Netherlands' adoption of the Convention in 2010. He continues to advise the Dutch government on implementing aircraft deregistration provisions under the Convention.
