Patrick Duong is an Associate Lecturer at the School of Management and Marketing, Curtin University, and a Research Fellow at the Consumer Research Lab (CRL). His dual roles involve teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate units, including Digital Marketing, Marketing 101, Consumer Behaviour and Innovation, and Marketing Intelligence. He coordinates units and delivers guest lectures on topics like Consumer Biometrics and Customer Journey Mapping. His research focuses on consumer decision-making in food and beverage, emotions in choices, and biometric applications, supported by industry collaborations with brands like Red Bull and HBF. He received the 2023 Teaching Excellence University Associate award and the Best HDR Student Paper for his PhD work funded by Food Agility CRC.
Patrick’s research spans consumer behavior, sensory marketing, and sustainable food systems, with publications in journals like Appetite and Journal of Consumer Behaviour. He leads CRL’s facility management, program design, and industry-driven research. His work emphasizes multidisciplinary approaches to enhance market competitiveness for Australian food producers.
