Patrick Cooper is an Associate Professor of Psychology in the College of Arts and Sciences at Lynn University. His research focuses on resilience, personality, and academic achievement in college students, with additional interests in physical health outcomes, self-esteem, narcissism, academic entitlement, and the impact of social media on mental health.

Cooper's research program centers on understanding factors contributing to college student success and well-being. His work provides critical insights for developing interventions to enhance student resilience and academic performance.
Analysis of his 2024-2026 publications reveals strong emphasis on psychological factors (narcissism, self-esteem, personality traits) interacting with student behaviors (social media, drinking, eating). Emerging themes include AI applications in education/workforce preparation and sustainable development in service-learning. His research consistently addresses practical higher education challenges through evidence-based interventions.

He also provides research and statistical consulting for higher education organizations, directly applying his expertise to institutional challenges.
Cooper leads the Resilience Toolkit initiative and collaborates with Upstream Education to develop evidence-based programs mitigating anxiety and building resilience. His recent service-learning research aligned with UN Sustainable Development Goals demonstrates commitment to addressing societal challenges through educational innovation and community engagement.
