معرفی
Patrick Bitterman is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Geography at Kent State University. He specializes in geospatial techniques applied to water governance, land use, and climate change impacts. His work focuses on adaptive governance and social-ecological systems, using spatial modeling and scenario analysis.
Research Interests: Bitterman's interdisciplinary research integrates GIScience with human-environment interactions, emphasizing water quality governance and socio-environmental resilience. He investigates how land use practices, governance structures, and environmental changes influence ecological systems, aiming to support adaptive management strategies.
Labs/Teams: He leads the Human-Environment Systems, Interactions, Impacts, and Intelligence (HESI) Lab at Kent State, which develops coupled models to study socio-environmental dynamics and resilience.
