Patricia Wyrod

Patricia Wyrod is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Law at the University of Michigan Law School, affiliated with the International Transactions Clinic. She founded the Tech Law SF Group in 2015, advising venture-funded technology companies on operational legal matters tailored to their growth stages. Prior to this, she held general counsel roles at high-growth Silicon Valley firms, supporting global expansion, venture funding, and major exits such as Fortune 50 acquisitions, private equity buyouts, and IPOs.

Education:

• BA and JD from the University of Michigan
• Advanced degree in EU law from The College of Europe

Her legal expertise spans complex cloud software transactions, data privacy (with a CIPP/EU certification), hardware manufacturing, and employment law. She practices in the U.S. and Europe, reflecting her focus on international technology transactions.

Wyrod previously worked at Dewey Ballantine Bushby Palmer & Wood in Los Angeles and Washington, D.C., and is admitted to practice in California and Michigan. Her philanthropy includes board roles at the Vista Center for the Blind and Mission Hospice, and active support for the San Francisco Ballet.
