Patricia M. Clark

Patricia M. Clark is a Part-Time Lecturer at the University of Maine at Augusta (UMA), serving as the Libra Professor of Early Childhood since 2001. She teaches courses in early childhood, special education, human services, and psychology, with a focus on state certifications. Her career spans journalism, kindergarten teaching, and extensive work in early childhood education.

She earned a prestigious national fellowship in 2007 at the Office of Head Start in Washington, D.C., where she developed professional development programs, chaired national committees, and researched early childhood initiatives like Sure Start in London. Her project, A Head Start in Picturing America, provides art-focused preschool curricula freely accessible via the Early Childhood Learning and Knowledge Center.
